There are indications that the police have started digging into the sudden death of the Deputy Governor of Borno State, Alhaji Zannah Umar Mustapha, at a Yola hotel in the early hours of Saturday.
According to reports, though no arrest had been made as at Saturday evening, the Public Relations Officer of the Adamawa State Police Command, DSP Abubakar Othman, said in a telephone interview with newsmen, that the Police has not ruled out anything yet.
According to him, it was still early to close the case, adding that, “We have started investigations of what might be responsible for the sudden death of the late deputy governor.”
