There Are ‘Gang-Ups’ Against Rivers – Wike

Rivers State Governor, Chief Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike has alleged that there are ‘gang ups’ against the socio-economic well-being of the state.

Wike, who stated this on Friday night while speaking at the night of praise and worship organized by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), at the Obi Wali International Conference Centre, Port Harcourt, however expressed the hope that with God, his administration will stand.

The governor, who was represented by his deputy, Dr. Ipalibo Harry-Banigo, said God remains the advocate of the State under his watch, and attributed the emergence and achievement of his administration to the grace of God.

He recalled that at the inception of the present administration, Rivers State was dedicated to God adding that nothing will hinder its progress, and expressed joy over the programme, stressing that it was organized to praise God for what He has done for the state.

The governor said, “Never again shall the counsel of the wicked stand in this State. Whatever the enemy plans, the counsel of the Lord shall stand against it. God directed our party to raise a praise Altar for Him. We are here to praise God and ask for open Heaven for our State.”
