The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, met with members of the house amid complaints over lawmakers’ delayed pay.
Members have yet to receive their July pay, and the meeting was expected to address their complaints, a source told reporters.
One member said members have become restive over the delayed payment.
“We have not been paid,” the lawmaker told newsmen. “But everybody wants to collect money. I still call my account officer today if money has dropped, she said no.”
The meeting, which began around 9pm at Room 028, new building wing of the House, has all members in attendance.
