The Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) candidates were on Sunday declared winners in the local government elections conducted on Saturday in Ondo State.
The PDP won all the chairmanship seats in the 18 local government of the state and also won 202 wards out of the 203 wards in the state for councillorship positions.
Announcing the results at the Ondo State Independent Electoral Commission, ODIEC, headquarters in Akure, the state capital yesterday, the chairman of the commission, Prof. Olugbenga Ige, described the poll as “free, fair and credible.
