All Progressives Congress, APC, Bayelsa State chapter, has dismissed the allegation that the leadership of the party in the state was involved in shady negotiations and threats to party delegates ahead of the governorship primaries.
Addressing newsmen at the party’s secretariat in Yenagoa, Chief Timipa Oruniminghe said: “The allegation is malicious and capable of destabilising the peaceful co-existence among the old and new members of the party.”
He accused the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, of campaign of calumny against the APC.
He urged the public to disregard the report, maintaining that the leadership of APC in the state remained committed and focused on ensuring victory for the party in the forthcoming election.
