Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has stated that his administration will not lose focus as it is committed to making Rivers State the nation’s foremost economy.
Speaking in Port Harcourt on Tuesday when he granted audience to the Archbishop of the Niger Delta Province of the Anglican Church, Archbishop Ignatius Kattey, Governor Wike said that his determination to rebuild Rivers State cannot be shaken by unpatriotic elements in the state.
He noted that he was elected by the people of the state to deliver the dividends of democracy, pointing out that he has remained committed to the goals of development since he assumed office.
He said: “Our administration shall never lose focus. We have made promises and we shall keep to the promises”.
The governor said that his administration is working round to develop the state. He said that all critical projects started by the immediate past administration.
He said: “ Any project that will impact positively on the lives of the people of the state will be completed by this administration”.
The governor said though there will always be hiccups in any government, his administration will consistently deliver in the interest of the people.
Earlier, the Archbishop of Anglican Province of the Niger Delta, Archbishop Ignatius Kattey said Rivers State will witness massive development under the leadership of Governor Wike.
He said that Governor Wike is a man who lives by his words, noting that the development projects of the Wike administration should be commended.
While advising politicians not to overheat the polity, Archbishop Ignatius Kattey urged the governor not to be distracted by unwarranted attacks on his person by political opponents.
