Metuh Fails To Stop Money Laundering Trial

The national publicity secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has failed again to stop his trial at an Abuja court today after his application was thrown out.

The court refused Metuh’s application for adjournment, instead ordering him to call his witnesses if he has any.

Justice Abang said he had already ruled on the application last Friday and cannot be invited to reach a different decision.

He ordered that the trial of Metuh will continue.

At at the time of filing this report, the first defence witness, Ike Abonyi is already in the witness box.

Metuh is being tried on a seven count charge of criminal breach of trust, corruption, money laundering involving $2m cash transaction and for allegedly receiving N400 million from the Office of the National Security Adviser on Friday.
