After several weeks of deliberation on who becomes the deputy governor to the governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, a letter containing the name of Hon. Simon Achuba has been sent to the Kogi State House of Assembly for ratification.
The hint was dropped on Monday in the state capital Lokoja that Hon Simon Achuba’s name would be submitted to the Kogi State House of Assembly, scheduled for Wednesday, February 10, 2016.
When contacted, the Chief Press Secretary, CPS, to the Governor, Mr Femi Fanwo told our reporter that due to the crisis in the Assembly over leadership, the name would be submitted for ratification on Wednesday when the House reconvenes.
It would be recalled that even with the intervention of the national body of Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) which has the majority in the House, the leadership crisis persists with Godwin Osuyi holding on to his claim as the Speaker of the House, while Momojimo claims he had not been removed.
