A former Deputy Governor of Plateau State, Dame Pauline Tallen, said she has no regrets dumping the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress APC.
It would be recalled that Tallen dumped the then ruling PDP at the twilight of the administration.
She stated this in a chat with journalists in Jos on Sunday.
“I am thanking God for dumping the PDP at the right time, the lack of internal democracy and imposition in the party was unbearable, I saw the crack coming in the party.
Tallen who was onetime Minister of Science and Technology said, “When I was about leaving the PDP, some of my friends advised me that why would you be leaving the PDP which was a ruling party then for an opposition party, but I told them, I was following my heart and I am glad that I left the PDP at the right time.
Commenting on President Muhammadu Buhari’s one year in office, she said the President had proven that he has what it takes to move Nigeria forward.
“President Buhari has been able to tackle the insecurity in the North-Eastern part of the country.
“He has also reduced the level of corruption in the country. our President has been able to recover funds that were looted by corrupt office holders.”
Tallen who is a Papal Knight, called on citizens of the country to support the APC-led government, saying they are determined to better the lives of Nigerians.
