Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State has tasked contractors handling rehabilitation of primary schools across the state to execute quality jobs or be sanctioned.
Speaking when he inspected the on-going rehabilitation of Modoji and Rafin-Dadi primary schools in Katsina metropolis, Masari directed that the blackboards in the school be replaced with half white magic boards and half blackboards.
Masari who said no effort would be spared in repositioning primary education assured that his administration would provide conducive atmosphere for teaching and learning for both teachers and students.
One of the contractors, Mahe Gafai assured the governor that the rehabilitation work would be done according to specification and contractual terms.
Our correspondent reports that the state government has awarded contracts for the renovation of some select primary schools in the state as part of the first phase of the project.
However, the project has continued to generate controversy as the opposition PDP has said the current administration is working on structures already erected by the previous administration.
