With less than two days to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) council elections, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abaji area council has accused the Minister of the FCT, Mohammed Bello of allegedly threatening top civil servants in the council to ensure the victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) or lose their jobs.
The council PDP chairman, Alhaji Idris Gana, who made this known in a press briefing on Wednesday, said that the party is not happy with the way and manner the Minister is handling the fast approaching elections. He said the action of the minister is not healthy as far as promotion of democratic principles and ethics are concerned.
According to Gana, the minister who is supposed to be neutral in the election and ensure that the popular candidate wins irrespective of political affiliation adding that as the father of all in the FCT he should not been seen as partisan.
“We have reliable information that the minister has threatened top civil servants in Abaji area council, especially the Local Education Authority (LEA) Secretary in Abaji to ensure that APC wins, otherwise they will lose their jobs.
