Coalition of Kaduna Progressives yesterday called on the state governor, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai to immortalise the victims of the recent Zaria bomb explosions.
The coalition who said it regretted the unfortunate incident that led to the gruesome killing of innocent law abiding and patriotic citizens while participating in a verification exercise, said immortalising the dead was not negotiable.
Speaking at a press conference in Kaduna, the president of the coalition, Kibai Kwallah and secretary, Mock Kure, respectively said, the bomb blast was an act of sabotage orchestrated by the beneficiaries of the ghost workers scam.
According to them, the government should leave no stone un-turned until the perpetrators of ghost workers are brought to book.
“The ongoing verification exercise has so far saved the state over N128 million per-month, if that is multiplied by 12 months, the state will be saving N1.536 billion annually,” said the group.
On projects, the coalition advised the state government to verify abandoned projects by the last administration and prosecute people or companies found wanting.
They however concluded that the El-Rufai led administration has the interest of the majority of the citizens.
