Women Group Donates Relief Items To IDPs In Jigawa

The Jigawa chapter of the Federation of Muslim Women Association of Nigeria (FOMWAN), has donated relief items to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) residing in Jigawa.
Hajiya Lami Danjani, state FOMWAN Chairperson, stated this on Wednesday in Dutse in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

She listed the items as: 10 cartons of indomie noodles, 10 cartons of Spaghetti, five cartons of omo detergents, five cartons of toilet soap and five cartons of laundry soap.

Others were: 120 pairs of slippers, 20 pieces of blankets, 10 pieces of bed sheets, 40 pieces of children sweaters and other assorted wears.

Danjani explained that the gesture was to assist the displaced persons and to also reduce their sufferings.

She also stressed the need to complement government’s efforts to improve the living conditions of the IDPs.

According to her, the donation was made through the state Committee on Support for the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs). (NAN)
