A former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Bamanga Tukur, has been congratulated by United States President, Barack Obama, on his 80th birthday.
In the congratulatory letter which was co-signed by Michelle Obama, the US President lauded Tukur for being committed to the improvement of Nigerians and Africans’ standard of living.
Obama also thanked the former PDP National Chairman for working with his fellow compatriots to make the world a better place to live in for generations.
He said: “Your generation has witnessed what our Nations can achieve when we join together in pursuit of a brighter tomorrow.
“We trust you take pride in all you have accomplished and in the ways you have touched the lives of those around you”.
