There are strong indications that MTN has finally bowed to pressure with its eventual agreement to pay the N1.04 trillion fine imposed on it last week by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) for violating its directive on SIM deactivation.
This decision came sequel to series of meeting held between the management team of MTN from South Africa and Nigeria with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
It would be recalled that NCC had maintained that MTN would not escape the fine, consequent upon the enormity of its implication to national security.
