Scores have been reportedly killed by nomadic Boko Haram, usually called Fulani herdsmen in a recent invasion of Ukpabi, Nimbo in Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State.
The invasion occurred in the early of hours of Monday and left many dead according to reports confirmed by the Police public relations officer, Ebere Amaraizu,
“He said a combined team of police and Army have moved to the area.
“Natives have fled to neighboring communities of Nkpologu and Uvuru, even as Nkpologu natives fled to Nsukka in fear of attacks.”
Nigeria’s minister of information addressed concerns that the government was folding its arms as this menace continued by saying the government had chosen to act “secretly” against the menace. This further infuriated Nigerians.
