A man who claimed to be a military man stabbed a commercial mini-bus driver in the forehead in Ajegunle area of Lagos State, on Wednesday.
Investigation revealed that the alleged military man was riding a motorcycle while a woman was at the back seat but he wanted to manoeuvre in between two buses when a hoodlum pulled the motorcycle from behind.
An eyewitness, who identified himself as Kolawale disclosed that immediately the rider screamed bloody civilian and got off the motorcycle, the hoodlum escaped from the scene.
The man was said to have blocked the road with the machine and instead of chasing the fleeing hoodlum descended on an innocent driver.
He said the angry military man ordered the driver to alight from the vehicle before flogging him with his horse whip which lasted for over 10 minutes.
As if he was not satisfied, the man pulled out his knife and stabbed him in the forehead.
People who were begging him to leave the driver alone, became angry as they rounded him up and told him to take the driver to the hospital or be prepared to kill all of them.
Kolawale said, “The military man wanted to carry the victim on his motorcycle but the crowd refused. They pointed to a hospital nearby and he had no choice but to obey the irate crowd.”
