Kogi Gov Inaugurates Security Taskforce

Kogi State governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, on Wednesday in Lokoja inaugurated a 300-man Joint Taskforce code named “Operation Total Freedom”.
The governor had donated 114 vehicles recently to the security agencies in the state to combat crimes such as kidnapping, robbery and cultism which have become prevalent in the recent times in the state.

Bello, who was represented by his Special Adviser on Security, Commodore Jerry Omodara (rtd) recalled that the federal government deployed special security forces comprising military and Police to the state following the increased and wave of kidnappings and other social vices in various parts of the state.

He said the joint task force, which comprises Nigerian Army,  Navy, Police, and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NCDSC), will be deployed to various parts of the state to tackle several acts of criminality being perpetrated by the men of underworld.
The governor added that communications gadgets will also be provided for the taskforce to ease communication flow among its operatives.
