Chief Imam of Bauchi Central Mosque, Alhaji Bala Babban-Innah, has appealed to the state government to assist in fencing the Bauchi Eid prayer ground.
Making the appeal while delivering his Eid-el-Kabir sermon on Thursday in Bauchi, he said such measure was necessary to ensure the safety of worshipers, especially considering the current security challenges.
He said that fencing the place would also guard against trespass in future..
He urged Muslim faithful to fear God in all all their dealings.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that heavy rainfall in Bauchi, which started in the early hours of Thursday, necessitated a shift in the prayer venue, from the usual open prayer ground, to the Bauchi Central Mosque.
