The Inspector General of Police, Mr. Solomon Arase, on Tuesday, promoted eleven police officers and gave scholarship award to one of the sons of a late officer.
The officers and men were ten sentry men who were involved in the parade and another officer who made a proposal for data collation of police personnel.
Arase noted in Abakaliki that the gallantry disposition of those officers had restated his commitment towards repositioning the Nigeria Police Force.
He said that “I promoted this young man because of his communication skill. A police officer need to have good communication skill”.
He reiterated his commitment to ensure that the welfare of the men and officers of the police force was enhanced to increase productivity.
“Your welfare is very paramount to me, especially the rank and file. They are the ones that carry the most police burden in this country,” Arase said.
