Following the investigation of allegations of sexual violence against vulnerable persons at IDP camps by security officials, the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris announced the arrest of three soldiers, two policemen, an Air Force officer, an employee of the Borno State ministry of agriculture and two members of the Civilian JTF.
The IG said that all suspects found guilty of criminal conduct will face the full weight of the law. For its own part, PCNI continues to review and improve camp management protocols to ensure that vulnerable persons are kept safe and secured at all times.
