The Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt has expressed strong support to Federal Government of Nigerian in its fight against terrorism and extremism, commiserating with the families of the deceased persons who lost their lives to the heinous act of Boko Haram insurgent.
The Egyptian government also called for global cooperation to combat the heinous crime perpetrated by terrorists against humanity.
In a statement signed by the Information officer, Egyptian Embassy in Abuja, Mr Ahmed Maher yesterday, it said that the spokesman of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Consular, Ahmed Abo-Zeid expressed Egypt’s strong condemnation to the recent terrorist attacks which occurred in many part of Nigeria killing no fewer than 40 people.
The statement reads in part: “The spokesman of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Consular/ Ahmed Abo-Zeid expressed Egypt’s strong condemnation to the recent terrorist attacks occurred in many part of Nigeria which killed no fewer than 40 people.
“The Spokesman also expressed the deepest condolences to the families of the victims and wishing the deceased to rest in peace,” the statement added.
