Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari and a former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, on Tuesday held a closed-door meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting lasted for about one hour.
Details of the meeting were not disclosed to reporters.
Some reporters had approached the former President for details of the meeting but he refused to comment on it.
“No, No, joor”, he said in Yoruba dialect, a subtle way of declining a request.
President Buhari had on August 21 named the former President as his Special Envoy to mediate and help find a solution to the crisis brewing in Guinea Bissau.
The meeting came on the same day the Senate started a probe of the Nigerian Power Sector, covering the regimes of former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo, late Umaru Yar’adua and former President Goodluck Jonathan.
