Muhammad Ali has been taken to hospital, because of a respiratory issue.
A spokesman for the former world heavyweight champion, confirmed the boxing legend was being treated by doctors as a precaution and his condition has been described as “fair”.
Ali is expected to spend a brief time in hospital.
The 74-year-old was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1984, after quitting boxing.
He was also hospitalized in January 2015, following a severe urinary tract infection.
