Facts are beginning to emerge, as to why Kadiri Ikhana, dumped Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) club, Shooting Stars.
The veteran coach has left his role at the Oluyole Warriors and according to AfricanFootball, he was never the choice of Rasheed Balogun, the club’s general manager.
“Balogun preferred to work with another coach he could control, but the powers that be forced Ikhana on him,” a source is quoted as saying.
“He never wanted to work with Ikhana because he cannot control him.”
It is also understood that some influential supporters, were not happy over the N1.2million he was paid every month, as they felt it was too high.
Shooting Stars is currently in financial crisis, as they have struggled to pay salaries for the last three years. Players have not been paid at all in the past six months.
